Monument to peace

Not that I'm not a big fan of Manhattan, but it's such a typical destination for so many travelers that I'm left wondering what there is to say about it that hasn't already been said a hundred times? Well, this monument is something a little different that you may not have heard of. This monument symbolizes peace, showing a gun that has been tied into a knot so it can't shoot. It is located outside the UN headquarters, designed by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reutersward as a tribute to John Lennon.

A meaningful sculpture

Excellent

The Non-Violence sculpture is located near the visitors' entrance of the United Nations on First Avenue. It shows a gun with its barrel knotted, symbolizing the importance of peace. For the record, I had heard of this sculpture for the first time on the Monnuage.fr website, so it's natural that I decided today to write an article about it, especially since I found this sculpture so meaningful!
