St-Florent
St-Florent has the largest population in the Nebbio area, which is sandwiched between Bastia and Cap Corset. This is a very elegant and beautiful city that has become a holiday destination for hundreds of people, mostly French. If you walk through the port of this town you will note that tourism in this area is of a high class as some impressive yachts are always moored there. St-Florent does not have many monuments. The only historic landmark is its cathedral, which was built in the twelfth century in the Pisan style. The beauty of its narrow streets, its harbor and its surroundings more than compensate for this.
The nicest thing is to stroll through the streets, from the port into the city. You will find many souvenir as well as wine shops, as this is the best wine area around Corsica and also every year are trying to exploit more this branch. Although there is no beach in the village itself, St-Florent whatever with numerous beaches around, they have a stunning beauty especially for its turquoise waters. The only problem is always the same, which in summer are full of people and it is difficult to find a free slot. One of the things that struck me in this town is the huge stud farm environment posee.A all there are people on the street, something not very common in Corsica and more if you go off season as April. Moreover, the character of the people here are more open than in the south. They are very nice and are always willing to lend a hand. At lunch or dinner I recommend you go to some of the restaurants along the harbor, because in addition to preparing a pasta and very good pizzas, they also excellent fish and also you can enjoy on the terraces with unbeatable views.
