St. Wolfgang

St. Wolfgang is a village that can be found in the Salzkammergut region. Situated on the banks of Wolfgangsee where you can reach by boat to get to the village of St. Gilgen (also known as the town where Mozart's mother was born). In this lake there is also the Kaiservilla, which was the summer residence of Francis Joseph I, and his mistress, Katharina Schratt, who lived in a house that was nearby. (This meant that St. Wolfgang become the preferred destination for the Austro-Hungarian court) This town is also known by the White Horse Inn (Weisses Rössl) and it is also know by it's Parish Church.
