Collegiate Church of St. Peter

The Collegiate Church of St. Peter is at the top of a 210 meter hill. It is accessible by car and there is a parking garage. It's a nice religious and historical monument dating back to the fifth century. It was built in a Romanesque style but several Gothic architectural elements have been added to it over time. The old town of Six-Fours was also located on this hill but now nothing remains of it. Inside the church you can admire the magnificent polyptych by Louis Brea which dates back to 1520 and depicts the Virgin and Child. What caught my attention most was the gold, the organ and the human remains in a coffin that sits on a plexiglass plate.
