5 reviews of St. Pauli Neighborhood

A major city

The city of Hamburg in Germany is certainly a major city, very old, beautiful, very green and with many stories to tell the world the truth is that it is a city that attracts much tourism from Germany (mostly) and the United Kingdom, who visit very often. But worth a visit, is one of those splendid cities, majestic buildings like the Town Hall "Rathus" and Rathausmarkt Square, Church St Michelle, the Alster lake and elegant swans, parks and gardens, green splendor, the incredible Fischmarkt, countless museums like the Hamburgmuseum (and many more). German pride in all its splendor, authentic, respectful, original, edgy ...

In the district of St. Pauli, in addition to the famous team of Footbol and "Sinful Mile" with strip shows, sex shops and casinos, see an alternative cultural atmosphere with artistic performances of all kinds, especially theater and different bands concerts which are found here in a large projection space. At any time of day or night if you walk down Reeperbhan find people of all ages and nationalities interested in exploring this famous street in part because of its relationship with the British quartet The Beatles. The Beatles are a legend that is alive, reflected in street graffiti and the countless messages written on placards, posters and even officially in the city museum. Find restaurants, cafes and bars of all types and be served by friendly and sociable people. Many bars offer live music and it is rare to have recognized artists in the alternative setting and heavy rock. You can then walk calmly and amidst all this you will see police patrols and many who watch the city day and night. At night you will find some figures representing John, George, Paul and Ringo, well lit, take a souvenir photo. There are posters that will herald the Beatles Tour and offer to take you to the places that this quartet toured before being famous and known where they defined their image, especially their haircut that would travel around the world, and after 40 years remain valid for the new generations. In St. Pauli you'll run into a lot of graffiti with social and political messages; youth here are open, and not only them ... You will often see people on the streets (of different ages) whom are bizarre in the way they dress and have nothing to do with any current youth fashion in the world, people are in general, original, very liberal and open-minded. In St Pauli Street "Groβe Freiheit" (wide release) is not only a name ... Everyday life is reflected in the legends on poles, in subway stations or bus stops, cars driven on the streets, and cyclists wearing shirts with strange messages ... St Pauli a place where the "establishment" ... simply doesn't exist.
