St. Nicolas Church

This church is a gem hidden in plain sight. Within sight of the cathedral, the Church of San Nicolas de Bari has a marvel of a main altarpiece made in Flowered Gothic style in the C15th. It occupies the entire front wall. The detail is phenomenal. The internal buttress also adds a surprise as an unusual but delightful feature.

When visiting outside service hours, you will be presented with a free information sheet describing the church detail. It is the only free piece of printed tourist information we were able to obtain in English during our stay in Burgos and was very much appreciated.
