St Michael's

The Church of St Michael of Limerick is a beautiful parish church. Its located in Pery Square, behind the train station. It's a humble, small neighborhood church, built in Georgian style, although it was built during the Victorian era.

Pery Square is also in the Georgian style and consequently they wanted to continue when they built the church. It is next to the People's Park, the main municipal park in Limerick. In the western part of the church, you can see Tontine Terrace, one of the most harmonious architectural ensembles of the city (also Georgian style). St Michaels was one of the original five churches Limerick, but what you see is not the original building, but one that opened in 1781.
