The Church of Saint Mary of the Incarnation
The Parish Church of St. Mary of the Incarnation in Jerez de los Caballeros dates back to the 16th century, but it was later rebuilt. It's the oldest temple in the town. From the fortress there are some spectacular views of the church because it's right next to it. It's noted for its Latin cross floor plan, and inside of it there's lavish Baroque decor. It is said that the temple was built over another one, possibly Visigoth, that's much older.
