Square of St. Martin

La Plaza de San Martín es una de las más céntricas y transitadas de Frómista, ya que en ella se encuentran: La monumental Iglesia de San Martín (destacable por sus capiteles y canecillos historiados, y declarada Monumento Nacional), el albergue de peregrinos (Frómista es una ciudad importante del Camino de Santiago), y unas cuantas cafeterías y heladerías con sus terrazas. Es un lugar muy agradable para sentarse a tomar algo. La plaza es bastante grande, y tiene también algunos árboles en su perímetro, bajo los que hay bancos para sentarse. A unos pasos, en una de sus bocacalles, se encuentra la Piedra del Milagro, en torno a la cual hay una curiosa leyenda.

The Plaza de San Martín is one of the most central and busiest Frómista, since in it are: The monumental Church of St. Martin (remarkable for its historiated capitals and corbels, and declared a National Monument), the pilgrim hostel (Frómista is an important city on the Camino de Santiago), and a few cafes and ice cream parlors with its terraces. It's a nice place to sit for a drink. The square is quite large, and has also some trees on the perimeter, under the benches there. Steps, in one of the side streets, is the Miracle Stone, around which there is a curious legend.
