Beaches in Northern England
Between England and Scotland, in the eastern part there are a lot of beaches. For example there's Sunderland, Bamburgh and Lindisfarne (Holy Island). And of course, South Shields, which is a small town that's between Newcastle and Sunderland. I was impressed by the size of the beach and its fine white sands. It was completely unexpected in this part of Europe, especially in the North of England. However, as the pictures attest, this beach looks like it could be in either Spain or Portugal.
