Solar Dos Lousada Sarmento O Casa Dos Quintelas

The House of Lousada Sarmento is on one of the steep streets that climb to the Citadel of Bragança. It houses the Solar de Santa Maria], simple accommodation type Bed & Breakfast. The house was constructed by the Spanish hidalgo Galego Domingos da Ponte in the 16th century, but underwent a reform in 1710. It was later acquired by Manuel Miranda and his sister (wife of António Pires Quintela), so it is also known as Casa dos Quintelas. It has 2 stories, with typical granite windows and balconies. The facade looks the coat of arms of Ferreiros Lousadas, Sarmentos and Morais.
