Sofiero Castle is very close to Helnsigborg in southern Sweden. It was built in the 19th century and was one of the Swedish royal family's residences. Today, it's open to the public and has one of the best restaurants in the area. As the photos indicate, it also serves as an art gallery. The interior is austere, almost all white, and some rooms have objects, toys and costumes that belonged to the present monarch as a child. There are plenty of 19th and 20th century photos displaying life at that time. The castle is surrounded by pleasant gardens with many corners to be discovered. I just uploaded
