Shops and special places

The Slope of Gomérez is a beautiful street taking you from Plaza Nueva to the gates of the Alhambra. But it is not only for its geographical location that it has a special charm, but also the shops and local area.

Granada is world renowned for its classic and flamenco guitar makers: in this street you will find 4 or 5 places dedicated to this art. Moreover, entering is like travelling to Morocco in the blink of an eye, since there is such a great number Moroccan style shops. But you will also find jewellery craftsmen, etc.

You will also go through the gate of Las Granadas, built

In 1536, to enter a promenade full of trees, taking you to the Alhambra.

On the way to the Alhambra

Excellent

On the way to one of the greatest architectural jewels, the Alhambra, we pass the hill of Gomérez. Going up is tiring: we had got up early and it was cold, but Granada delivered us one of its corners and we could only smile. It is one of those places that was a required visit, but if you look with different eyes, it may be responsible for a return visit to Granada.
