Shrine of the Virgin of Loreto

Abbarbicata su un colle che domina tutto il paese di Cenate Sotto e la pianura bergamasca, il Santuario della Madonna di Loreto spicca per la sua tinta candida e la sue belle forme architettoniche. Costruita nel 1617, viene aperta solo un paio di occasioni all'anno, una delle quali è proprio in onore della Madonna Nera alla quale è dedicata la chiesa. Cinta da una recinzione che protegge anche il giardino curato, il Santuario è raggiungibile attraverso una camminata dal paese. Ci sono due vie per accedervi: la prima si prende lungo la strada che conduce a Cenate Sopra, girando a sinistra una volta giunti al bivio dal castello. La seconda salendo verso San Rocco direttamente dal centro paese ed affrontando la ripidissima salita di cemento che anticipa il Santuario.

Perched on a hill overlooking the whole country and Dine Under the lowlands of Bergamo, the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Loreto stands out for its white color and its beautiful architecture. Built in 1617, it is only open a couple of times a year, one of which is in honor of the Black Madonna to whom the church is dedicated. Surrounded by a fence that also protects the well-kept garden, the sanctuary is reached via a walk from the village. There are two ways to access it: the sooner you take the road that leads to Dine Above, turning left once you reach the fork in the road from the castle. The second, going up to San Rocco directly from the village center and facing the steep climb of concrete that anticipates the Sanctuary.
