Market on the streets for tourists and natives alike
One of the most common things in Dakar is shopping, but not the typical shopping. Here people buy on the street. Anything from an apple to a sofa, glasses, dog leashes ... Everything. It´s not only for tourists, even the locals take advantage to shop on the street and thus save time and money on going to the store. It is widespread, and it is not rare to see a Mercedes at a traffic light or 6 dishes next to the bus, stopping to buy shoes. It is normal. Another interesting thing is street coffee carts. But something that caught my attention were many types of furniture sold in the street, but not one or two, dozens.
