Shibamata

Shibamata es un barrio que está al norte de Ueno donde uno todavía puede sentir la atmósfera del Tokyo tradicional, el llamado Shitamachi. Calles estrechas, asfaltadas con adoquines, tiendas de barrio, viviendas de no más de 2 pisos con tejados y fachadas de tinte tradicional... Merece la pena darse un paseo y acercarse hasta aquí porque además el sitio no es un destino típico incluso entre los propios Tokyotas, con lo que podréis disfrutar de un ambiente auténtico sin la aglomeración habitual del Tokyo más céntrico. "Tora san" es un personaje mítico del cine de Japón de los años 70, que a mi me recuerda un poco a la figura de Paco Martinez Soria. Pues resulta que el actor que lo interpreta, Torajiro Kuruma, vivía en Shibamata, con lo que el pueblo entero le rinde homenaje. Nada más salir de la estación podremos ver una estatua en su honor, y después cerca del templo mayor del lugar hay un museo que le recuerda (que no visité, por cierto). Es prácticamente imposible perderse: Si seguimos la calle de tiendas, llegaremos al templo Taishakuten que no destaca por su grandiosidad, pero si por lo precioso de sus detalles. Se llega fácil: Nos vamos hasta Asakusa, cambiamos a la línea Oshiage Keisei y nos vamos a la estación Takasago, y una vez más debemos cambiar esta vez a la línea Kanamachi Keisei hasta la estación que se llama Shibamata. También se puede ir andando desde Ueno por un paseo todo al lado del río, pero aquí no me atrevo a recomendarlo porque no lo he hecho y no tengo claro cómo es.

It comes easy: We're going to Asakusa, switched to Oshiage Keisei line and go to Takasago Station, and once again we must change this time Kanamachi Keisei line to the station called Shibamata. You can also walk from Ueno for a walk around the side of the river, but here I dare not recommend it because I have not done and I have not clear how.
