Situé en plein cœur de Madison Square Park, le Shake Shack est réputé pour servir LE meilleur burger de New York City. Nous avons donc testé cela et il est vrai que ce burger, et les frites qui l'accompagnent, sont vraiment excellents. Il est préférable de se rendre au Shake Shack sur les coups de 11h ou 11h30, car sa réputation lui vaut aussi d'être très apprécié des riverains, et donc d'attirer les foules à l'heure du repas. A 11h (heure d'ouverture), pas de problème : vous commandez, et vous savourez. A propos de l'attente, une fois votre commande passée, le serveur vous donnera une sorte de petite télécommande étrange. Celle-ci vibrera lorsque votre commande sera prête, il ne vous restera alors plus qu'à aller au « guichet des retraits » (à défaut d'expression plus adaptée, désolé) pour récupérer votre plat. Suite au succès du Shake Shack, d'autres restaurants de l'enseigne ont ouvert à plusieurs endroits dans la ville. Donc vous en trouverez forcément un.

On y attend facilement 1h en plein été, donc prévoyez votre bouteille d'eau. L'attente est le gros point noir mais elle en vaut la peine si vous n'êtes pas pressé. Très bon hamburger, frites délicieuses, goûtez la custard aussi, leur spécialité. J'y retourne à chaque fois !

D'autres adresses sont ouvertes où il est préférable de manger l'hiver (Midtown, l'Upper East Side et l'Upper West Side). Ne pas être effrayé par la longue file d'attente, ça défile vite.

Es muy popular en verano, y las colas pueden dar un poco de miedo pero en el momento que pruebes las hamburguesas veras que la espera vale la pena. Es un poco caro para ser comida rápida, pero pagas por calidad. Tienen tres restaurantes en todo Nueva York (en la página web están las direcciones) y se que al menos uno de ellos tiene sitio para comer dentro. Aviso, cuidado que las ardillas no te roben las patatas.

Por el día las colas pueden ser enormes, pero ir por la noche es lo mejor: te atienden sobre la marcha, te sientas en la terraza del parque y esperas a que te avisen. Luego, simplemente disfruta de la hamburguesa, de las vistas al Empire State iluminado o del Flatiron, en plena 5a Avenida. Te irás con una sonrisa en la boca.

Dan la opción de pedir la hamburguesa gluten free por 1$ más, esperaba como es lógico mi hamburguesa de pan sin gluten pero no. Me dan el relleno de la hamburguesa envuelto en papel... Simplemente lo quitaron, gluten free era pero creo que me tomaron un poco el pelo.
