The Arch of Septimius Severus is at the Roman Forum at the foot of Capitoline Hill. It was built in the year 203 to commemorate the victories of Emperor Septimius Severus and his sons Caracalla and Geta over the Parthians. In great condition

This 3rd-century arch is located at the foot of the Capitoline Hill and bears inscriptions in honor of Septimius Severus and his son Caracalla on both sides. It previously bore the name of another of Septimius' sons ve was murdered by Caracalla, but the whole line was eliminated and rewritten. Images of various victories in the East, especially those against the Parthian army, are displayed on the base of the columns, It is one of the best-preserved and most beautiful arches found in Rome.
