A classic!
During my trip to Budapest, I took a wrong turn when I was out walking and came across the Paul Street Boys Monument. I had actually read about this sculpture before visiting and was happily surprised to have stumbled upon it! The bronze sculpture was created in 2007 by Péter Szanyi (a well-known Hungarian sculptor born in 1947) and was inspired by a Hungarian young adult novel by Ferenc Molnár titled A Pál Utcai Fiúk (The Paul Street Boys). The novel, published in 1906, is a satire of European nationalism and ranks among the most famous books ever written in Hungary.
