Schauspielhaus Pfauen

This is one of the largest and main theaters of Switzerland and each year it stages some 14 new and varied productions, ranging from Shakespeare to local artist Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Built in the late nineteenth century the theater has two halls: Grosse Haus, 745 seats, and Schauspielhaus-Keller, 130 seats, which represents alternative and avant-garde works.
