    Scandic Umea South Hotel

    This was the hotel I chose to stay in on August 11, 2006 between Stockholm and äkäslompolo. The hotel offers a spacious room with double bed and extra bed, breakfast adequate and excellent treatment. Located just outside of the city but a few minutes from downtown by car, it's advisable to visit Umea and stay the night on your way to wherever you're going.
