Reasonably priced
I found the Gran Hotel Sardinero by chance when I went to cross Constitucion Bridge. My car broke down, so I had to find a room on the fly and it ended up being very reasonably priced (60 euros for a double, without breakfast). The hotel is a stately mansion dating back to 1890 built right on the city's most famous beach across from the Sardinero and the Grand Casino. Although it has been renovated several times, the inside still retains a decadent, historic air. It has carpeting, large lamps, velvet armchairs in the lobby, big bronze statues flanking the stairs, and a gleaming marble floor in the entrance hall.
