Sanzen-in Temple

In Ohara (a town in Kyoto) is the beautiful temple Sanzen-in of the Tendai sect, which was built in 788. It is a huge temple, though originally much smaller, as it has been expanded over the years. It is made up of many buildings, but the most spectacular areas are the gardens. You can walk inside your room or get lost in the wooded recesses of the gardens, that are filled with moss and trees.
