Sayed Salar Masood (principios del s.XI), fue un santo musulmán de la India, que en el siglo XII fue considerado un santo guerrero. Desde entonces su tumba (Dargah), aquí en Bahraich, se convirtió en un lugar de peregrinación. Hoy día sigue atrayendo a miles de peregrinos diariamente de todas las partes del estado de Uttar Pradesh y alrededores. El santuario está habilitado para el trasiego de miles de personas diariamente, aunque el día que la visitamos, desafortunadamente, no todo estaba accesible. Había algunos lugares cerrados al público por reformas. También está cerrada y en reformas la puerta norte del santuario. Sayed Salar Masood (early s.XI), was a Muslim saint of India, who in the twelfth century was considered a warrior saint. Since then his tomb (Dargah), here in Bahraich, became a place of pilgrimage. The sanctuary is enabled for the transfer of thousands of people daily, although the day we visited, unfortunately, not everything was accessible. There were some places closed to the public for renovations. The north door of the sanctuary is also closed and under renovation. Precisely in front of this door closed to the public, but on the outside, hundreds of pilgrims come together who do not have money to pay a hostel to rest and to spend the nights. At this time you can only enter through the main entrance of the religious complex, on the street "Dargah Shareef Road". However, the sanctuary was big enough to lose us for a couple of hours through all its nooks, apartments and places of prayer, worship or passage.
