Santoña Bay
The vast majority of the length of the bay is an estuary of wetlands of high ecological value, covered by silty sediments with abundant organic matter. Santoña is one of the most important cities of the east coast of Cantabria. With its great fishing tradition, visitors can enjoy beautiful beaches and its great architectural heritage including its palaces, forts, beautiful monuments and churches, among which stands the church of Santa María del Puerto, one of the most beautiful Gothic works in Cantabria. For food, I recommend Chili and Emilia restaurants or a gin and tonic in Kike, on Beria beach.
