30 reviews of Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica beach

The Santa Monica beach runs parallel to the Pacific coast. It is more than 3 miles long, and has many services like picnic areas, parks and the film-famous lifeguard stations. We also saw the Santa Monica Pier, which was built in 1909. Its fair carousel has been declared a National Historic Monument. This beach marks the end of legendary "Route 66."

Huge Waves

Excellent

This beach is huge. Just walking to the shore can be tiring! hahaha but it's worth it. It's always a bit cooler, and there are huge waves for surfing. It's also a perfect place for cyclists and skaters. A place to spend a perfect day with the family and then later go to the mall or Bubba Gump's :)

Famous ferris wheel

Excellent

This pier is known for its famous ferris wheel and for being the end point of Route 66. There you can find a fair, various vendor stalls, and flea market to buy souvenirs. There is also a place to rent bikes and walk around the promenade. It's worth seeing and reminds me of the movies.
