Magnificent church
A few meters from Oviedo on Monument road, and just a few metres from another unforgettable monument like Santa Maria del Naranco is San Miguel del Lillo, built in Asturian pre-Romanesque style. The surroundings of the church make it seem truly grand. Documents (like those in the CHRONICLE ALBELDENSE) mention that in the year 881 there was a landslide, that affected two-thirds of the construction; if you visit it you can see on the floor markings where it came to. You can only visit the church interior with a guide. It's totally prohibited to take photos, with or without flash. I am a lover of the Romanesque and pre-Romanesque style, this church fascinated me.
