Sant Joan Hermitage

Al subir al Castillo de San Juan, te encuentras con una bellísima Ermita dedicada a San Juan Bautista, que data del Siglo XIII. En 1991 fue restaurada, al igual que la torre del castillo. Dar la vuelta a la estructura, subiendo por las gradas del castillo, permite ver sus 4 fachadas con distintos fondos: El mar, el centro histórico, la montaña y la zona industrial. He subido al Turó en muchas ocasiones, pero nunca la he encontrado abierta. Hay un secreto para ver su interior; una pequeña ventana lateral permite ver los frescos realizados en 1956 por la artista María Teresa Bedós.

To climb the Castillo de San Juan, you find a beautiful chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist, dating from the thirteenth century. In 1991 it was restored, like the castle tower. Turn to the structure, climbing the steps of the castle, you can see its 4 facades with different backgrounds: the sea, the historic center, the mountains and the industrial zone. I uploaded the Turo many times, but I"ve never found open. There is a secret to see inside; a small side window lets you see the frescoes in 1956 by the artist Maria Teresa Bedós.
