Sant Andrèu de Casau Church

After winding down the few streets of the minute village of Casau, we reach its architectural jewel: the Church of Sant Andrèu.

There are few details left of its Romanesque origins. As has happened in the rest of the valley, Sant Andrèu has ended up absorbing different styles. But the beauty of these churches is their location, always in places that grant it a specially photogenic setting and thanks to their church towers, trace minute concentrations of constructions that stand out because of their fine and pointy towers.

In Sant Andrèu the outstanding feature is the carved Stone, which is simple in its tracery and this enables us to note its lengthy history, these carvings are inset in the upper part of the façade of the church.
