San Saturio Hermitage

This place is made from a natural cave. It is on a building that is used for religious reasons. There are various rooms such as those of the Heros, rock chapel dedicated to St. Michael. The church has a central octagonal shape. We have heard that tradition states that in the 6th century, the noble soriano Saturio divided his wealth among the poor and went to live in caves along the Duero. His memory was lost, and in the last quarter of s. XVI, his remains were found and increased devotion to the eremitaƱo to the point of building a temple in his honor and name patron of the city.
