San Salvador Church

La iglesia de San Salvador está situada en pleno casco histórico de Getaria, es un templo gótico que formaba parte de la muralla de la villa. Pero a parte de por la belleza de su portada, o su campanario por lo que destaca es sin duda por su pasadizo, en él se ubica una cripta con una capilla que se puede observar, tras las rejas, está situada justo bajo el altar mayor. A través de este pasadizo llegamos a la zona del puerto.

La chiesa di San Salvador è la principale di Getaria. Rappresenta un ottimo esempio di edificio gotico, del XIV secolo. Quello che più sorprende però è la struttura in sé. All'entrare si nota subito qualcosa di strano.. Le navate sono collocate su piani diversi e ci si accorge che la pianta della chiesa è tutt'altro che simmetrica! Il pavimento è addirittura in pendenza. Quando usciamo ci accorgiamo di un'altra particolarità, ovvero la presenza di un passaggio pedonale che passa sotto la chiesa! Insomma una costruzione davvero insolita.

Es una de las verdaderas joyas del arte gótico, siendo uno de los monasterios más antiguos de Guipuzcoa datando del siglo XV.
