San Miguel Hermitage
This chapel used to be in the outside parts of Nerja, but due to the rapid urban growth of the town, it has now made its place practically in the center, so that rather than a chapel, it could almost be considered a small church. The Chapel of San Miguel, was built way back in the seventeenth century in the Plaza de Andalucia, north of Old Town. The interior is surprising because it is very small, yet is a perfect example of Moorish baroque style. The roof of the main altar is painted fully with images of the Apostles.
