San Martin de Mondoñedo Parish Museum

The parish museum of St.Martin of Mondonedo is found in the city of Lugo. Installed on the grounds of the Basilica of St Martin of Mondoñedo, a temple which was the Episcopal Diocese of Mondoñedo from 870 until 1113. It is a unique work in the Galician Romanesque in which a clear influence from Asturias can be seen. It has religious objects among which you will find a XI century staff and a VII century gold ring which is given to the clergy to kiss the day of the feast of Don Gonzalo, character known as "Holy Bishop ".
