San Juan Monastery in Poio

4 Km from Pontevedra, in the Ria de Pontevedra, on a small hill is the Monasterio de Poio. The highlight is the Cloister of the Processions, although its Renaissance Church, one of the highest in Galicia (121 meters high) is also worth a visit. In the Monastery there is an inn where you can stay at a good price and a restaurant which serves typical local food.
