A little Tuscan hideaway where time has stood still for centuries. From the breezy streets to its stone houses. Its tall towers, its people and its food make this place a perfect paradise to retire. It smells like artisan-ship, where they're savoring the good life, breathe the fresh air and it feels like heaven. It has everything you could possibly want.
It was one of the best experiences of my life. This town offers you the most fantastic views from inside and outside. It has the charme to make you fall in love. The main street has plenty to offer, for souvenirs, drinking and eating. I particularly loved going up in the big tower and the views from several restaurants. Also the musseum of modern arts.
A very small village but with a ton of charm. It's perfect for a weekend escape and you're sure to enjoy its medieval feel. There are museums and churches and plenty of plazas to have a drink. Oh, and of course, Tuscan restaurants. Just an amazing place to relax and soak in the culture.
Truth is, San Gimignano is one of the most impressive places I've ever seen. It's one of those places where time seems to stand still. It's like your watch is out of wack because the village hasn't changed in centuries. As you walk through these streets so full of like, it makes you think.
Also, the Tuscan sunsets are one of life's little pleasures and shouldn't be missed. If you don't know where to go, don't hesitate to head to Tuscany and spend the afternoon in San Gimignano. It's also a great place to try some homemade pasta and sample Tuscany's finest offerings.
