Celebrating African history
This museum promotes understanding of the roles that people of African descent have played in world history. Its mission is to educate African Americans and the general public about the history and culture of the African American community in San Francisco. There is a wide range of interpretive programmes, exhibitions, academic forums, trips, research projects, cultural presentations and publications. The library stands are available to the public.
