An unbeatable panoramic view
Very closet o the area where the main hiking paths in La Palm split, close to San Andrés, is the San Bartolo lookout point. It’s certainly of the most charming places on the island, at least in my opinion. You just have to head up, stopping at each one of the dozens of viewpoints that lie along the path. Each one has its own history and unique views.
This one, however, has two different purposes. On one hand, it’s an astronomical lookout, and it’s perfectly indicated so visitors can easily enjoy the marvelous night skies found around La Palma, and locate the North Star.
I went during the day, so I lost out on the spectacle, but I learned a legend – the legend of the monument of the lover.
