Typical Canary Islands Food
Located on a precious plaza with views of the sea, San Andrés restaurant was the perfect place to regain our strength after our morning trek through the surrounding woods. It’s a typical Canary Island restaurant, where one can find all the traditional local cuisine: good fried cheese, potatoes with mojo sauce, fish, etc. We had an incredible meal there.
It’s interesting how someone from the mainland feels when asking the waiter about the type of fish offered. We didn’t recognize any of them! Fortunately, the service was astounding and they told us about the different types of local fish and their characteristics. Flavor-wise… you have to go there and try it for yourself! The fried cheese with mojo sauce was a true delight.
