In honor of San Carlos Borromeo

The church of San Ambrosio and San Carlo is built on the former church of San Nicola of All. It's a church that was built in honor of San Carlos Borromeo on the occasion of his canonization in 1610. The architect was Honorius Longhi and milano Duomo the inspiration, construction began in 1612 and was completed in 1668 with the Pietro da Cortona dome. The façade, designed by Cardinal Omodei, is tripartite in honor of the Holy Trinity. Among the works of art found in the nave and side chapels are the seventeenth century work the fall of the rebel angels, by Giacinto Brando, the glory of San Carlo and statues of David and Judith by Jean Lebrun.

The church is at 37, Via del Corso, a quite commercial street and is reached by the metro Flaminio, Via Del Corso is just the other side of Piazza del Popolo. It's a bit far but there's no public transport nearby.
