Excellent

Five generations and over 100 years of experience inform the menus at this restaurant situated in downtown Villena. The restaurant is located in an old inn which is stunning and completely renovated. The restaurant has a careful selection of regional plates including rice, meat, and fish, with a local-focus and a touch of haute-cuisine.

The chef is Hugo Hernández and he’s in charge to updating classic plates and following the family tradition.

As soon as you enter this restaurant, you’ll realize that it’s not your average place. The friendliness of the waiters makes you feel more like a friend than a customer, friendly and warm without overdoing it. In short, very professional.

As soon as we sat down they brought us water and some free appetizers. The menu, while not huge, offers a good variety of fish, starters, meats, veggie plats, and eggs. They also will entertain off-menu orders if they can and will go out of their way to accommodate vegetarians and gluten-intolerant diners.

The wine list is centered around locally-produced wines with D.O.
