Fuencaliente Salt Mines
Beautiful contrasts between the white of the salt and the black volcanic land in the Fuencaliente Salt Mines. The product is gathered in a traditional way and the place has a scientific interest: it is the place of rest for many migratory birds (one of the few wetlands in Canarias).
It is a very interesting place to visit, located in the most southern point of the island. It is next to the lighthouses (the new one and the old one), and a small beach, la Zamora. It is worth coming here.
Moreover, you can buy salt products. I really recommend it. The fleur de sel is not only for
Gourmets, it is a real delicatessen.
