Salmon Waves Sculpture

Created by artist Paul Sorey, the Salmon Waves are perfectly located en route to the sophisticated salmon ladder. A popular spot to photograph due to all the different angles you can capture with the waves. Taking advantage of bright sun creates equally interesting shadows that add yet another dimensional element to the sculptures.

Placed next to the locks and the fish ladder these "wave" sculptures help give a since of the area. You can hear waves and water lapping as you stand among the sculptures and it is truly an experience. According to Sorey the three dimensional, metal sculptures of waves were created with an impressive 3,000 screws that hold all the pieces of metal together!
