Sainte-Suzanne Castle

The first time I saw the castle of Sainte-Suzanne, evening came and I must admit that the color of the sky made me fall in love with this beautiful medieval city. Beyond its cobbled streets, Sainte-Suzanne has a fabulous castle full of history and fantasy. Styled in transition between classical and Renaissance art, this medieval fortress is a magnificent treasure, a cultural and natural heritage in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Pays de la Loire. The naked form of the facade and ruins of this fortress towers over a small hut that goes down to the field. The castle of Sainte-Suzanne is perfectly integrated into the rural landscape of the area.
