Saint Michel Church
The Saint Michel church, near the tower with the same name, is one of the most beautiful in the city. Displaying a Gothic style, it was built during the twelfth century, and had a field opposite the cemetery, which began to be used in the fifteenth century in order to build the tower. It´s a basilica, one of the main churches of the city, Gothic flamboyano. It shares an unusual detail with the church Saint André Cathedral in Bordeaux, of having its bell (in this case, it´s more than 110 meters high and dominates the medieval quarter moon port) separate from the church building. You can still visit the crypt, where you can see mummies inside, and it was a very well-respected place.
