The Zoo Church
Perched on the hills of central London, St. Marks Church is what might you might describe as very pretty little church. It was built in the mid-19th century at the request of Dr Dale, who was anxious about the growth of the population in his neighborhood and the lack of churches to provide for them. Located on the left bank of the Regent's Canal, the Church of St. Mark is also well known as the "Zoo Church" since the entry of the famous London Zoo is a few meters away. The church also has a small garden and the interior contains two small chapels and several triptychs and an altar by Ninian Comper, one of the best Gothic architects of the time.
