Cover designed by Gustave Eiffel
The station has a large nineteenth century hall, is built on 2 levels and is illuminated by a glass roof. The departure has a large painted map of railroad lines (Midi de Bordeaux to Sète) and the cover above the tracks was designed by Gustave Eiffel. It is the largest station in the region and was built in 1855 to replace the one at Bordeaux Segur.
