The Museo dei Parati Sacri (Avellino) is located in the old church of Purgatorio. It's one of the first examples of clothing collections in southern Italy. It has an important collection of Italian-made fine fabrics, mostly from the south, between the 16th and 20th centuries. Some of the most interesting objects are the donations from Pope Benedict XIII from the 1725 Jubilee and a dress from the Virgin made in Sicily in the 7th century.
