S. Giovanni Battista

1 review of S. Giovanni Battista

At the bottom of the church square is the church of San Giovanni Battista.

A chapel of the XI century, of Romanesque style that goes unnoticed. It had been reduced to a warehouse a few years ago, but after several restorations were done, the temple is now shown in the shape of a rectangular nave with a beautifully polychrome apse. During the works one of the first Christian catacombs was discovered.
