3 reviews of Les Puntes de Gosàlvez Hiking Trail

The SL-CV 93 trail by mountain bike

Aside from the wetlands, El Campello has another valuable ecological park in the mountains which is a worthwhile visit due to its large amount of indigenous wildlife.

We did a hiking route through the zone called Les Puntes de Gosálvez. It’s a circular trail about 6.1km long and rated as a low-difficulty trail. You can do it on foot or on mountain bike, as was our case.

The trail starts in front of the Colegio Bonny near Remellat, and there are plenty of signs pointing the way. Along the entire trail, you can see the region’s typical semi-arid plant life, including some unique native species like the mastic and palmetto.

About half way through the trail (or, once you reach the Caseta de Caçadors), you can ascend a small peak which offers an incredible view of the coastline and the surrounding mountains.

A nice walk

After many years of waiting, I finally decided to do the entire route and I loved it. I can say it’s a route with lots of unique flora and it’s a nice hike that should be done at a leisurely pace.

When you arrive at the Caseta del Cazador, the view is amazing and, depending on the day, you can even see Tabarca Island, Cabo de las Huertas, and Santa Pola. At that point, you can either try another route, or head to the “Les Puntes” picnic area and start up a barbeque, although you may still have to bring a table!

It’s peace and tranquility.
