ANADEL
Fataga, Tejeda, Artenara, Valleseco and Teror
Chances are that you are in the south, where long ago there was no tourist infrastructure. You climb from Maspalomas to Fataga Tejeda, the latter is a small town that deserves a walk through for its quaintness. From here, follow road to see the small town of Tejeda and the view from the Parador of Cruz de Tejeda, an old hostelry that has been converted into a modern hotel and spa. Artenara also has a beautiful church and several viewpoints. From here you approach the Tamadaba Natural Park, views of Teide with a sea of clouds at its feet are exceptional. Valleseco Vega de San Mateo does not have much interest but does have more scenery.
There is a large tourist attraction on the island of Teror, on Sundays it is invaded by a flea market. The city, the Basilica and the Bishop's Palace are essential when visiting the island. With time and patience (as well as care) you can pick up the road from San Nicolas village to Artenara. Rugged landscapes, high mountains and dams, make this route one of the most famous on the island.
